My husband is a foreign medical student… and I can relate to everything you spoke about. The big test is “The Match”… numbers for FM students is a lot lower. Thoughts? LikeLike Reply ↓ Thanks! You’re right, they are much lower! However, your likelihood of matching goes way up in proportion to your Step score. The ones that score a spot are the ones who have a better than avg/great score & LORs from specialists in the field they are applying to (so I’ve heard). But all in all, yes, matching is much more difficult for us. I wish you and him the best of luck!
